Troubleshoot when your LG Venice doesn't turn on

This article helps troubleshoot your LG Venice not turning on.

You may have this issue if your LG Venice™:

  • Doesn't turn on
  • Starts to turn on but restarts or shuts down before it turns on completely

Try each of these steps if your phone doesn't turn on.

  1. Verify that your LG Venice has a sufficient charge.

    1. Connect your original charger to your phone.
    2. After a few minutes, try to turn on your phone.
  2. Verify that your phone, charging port, and battery contacts are not damaged.

    1. Carefully inspect your phone to be sure it's not overheating, swollen or damaged.
    2. Carefully inspect your phone's charging port and remove any debris.
    3. Remove the battery.
    4. Carefully inspect and clean the gold contacts using a cotton swab or dry soft cloth.

    Caution: If your phone is damaged, do not complete the remaining steps in this guide. Contact Boost Customer Care.

  3. Verify that you are using a compatible charger.

    You risk severe damage to your phone if the charger isn't the same voltage, amps, and plug type as your original charger. You can purchase compatible chargers on www.boostmobile.com.

  4. Verify that your LG Venice can power on.

    1. Turn your phone on.
  5. If your phone does turn on, verify that it is running the most recent software.

    1. From the home screen, tap the Apps icon.
    2. Tap Boost Zone.
    3. Tap My Device.
    4. Tap Dashboard.
    5. Tap System Updates.
    6. Tap Device Software.
    7. Tap Check now.
      • If an update is available, follow the prompts to install.
