Initial Sign In and First Use
  1. From the TalkBack screen, tap Next.

    Note: If your device was reset with McAfee device protection enabled, you will be required to enter the McAfee PIN associated with your device before proceeding with device setup.

  2. Tap the preferred language, then tap Next.

  3. If you do not want to connect to a Wi-F- network, tap to uncheck Use Wi-Fi then tap Next.

    To connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap to check Use Wi-Fi, then tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.

    Note: If your device was reset with McAfee device protection enabled, your device will require a Wi-Fi connection to continue and complete the Initial set up.

  4. If connecting to a Wi-Fi network, enter the network Password, then tap Connect.

  5. Tap Next.

  6. Tap the preferred option for Tap & Go.

  7. To associate your device with a Google account.

    Tap OR CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT to create a new Google account.

    To skip this step, tap SKIP.

    Tap Enter your email to login to an existing Google account, then tap NEXT.

  8. Enter your Google email password, then tap NEXT.

  9. Tap the links to read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then tap ACCEPT.

  10. Tap Restore from this backup to select the restore option to use with the device.

    When finished tap NEXT.

  11. Tap to set the preferred Google services options, then tap NEXT.

  12. Enter the preferred phone name and lost phone contact number, then tap Next.

  13. To configure a knock code, tap Set Knock Code and follow the prompts.

    To skip this step, tap Skip.

  14. Tap to select a Home touch button combination option, then tap Next.

  15. Tap Done.

  16. Review the Connections Optimizer information screen, then tap I Agree.

  17. McAfee Mobile Security helps keeps your device secure.

    Review the McAfee disclaimer, then tap Continue.

    Follow the additional steps to set up McAfee Mobile Security.

    To skip this step, tap Activate Later.

  18. Tap Skip.

  19. The handset is now set up and ready to use.
