Initial Sign In and First Use
  1. Review the Talkback prompt and tap NEXT.

    Note: If the Talkback accessibility feature is preferred, tap ACCESSIBILITY and follow the prompts to complete the set up.

  2. Tap the preferred language and tap the NEXT button.

  3. To connect to Wi-Fi, tap the preferred Wi-Fi network. Then enter the Wi-Fi network Password and tap CONNECT.

    Otherwise, tap SKIP.

    Note: If prompted, tap SKIP ANYWAY to confirm.

  4. A Google account is required to access a variety of Google services or to purchase and download content from the Play Store.

    To create a new Google account, tap Or create a new account.

    To log in to an existing Google account, enter the email address, then tap NEXT.

    Note: To skip this step, tap SKIP, then tap SKIP to confirm.

    If a reset was performed and Device Protection was set up, entering the Google account credentials previously associated with the device will be required.

  5. Enter your Google account Password, then tap NEXT.

  6. Review the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then tap ACCEPT to continue.

  7. Tap NEXT.

    Note: To restore a backup from a previous Android device, tap to select the preferred backup in the Restore from this backup field, then tap NEXT.

  8. To protect your phone's data, tap SET UP SCREEN LOCK NOW and follow the prompts to set up a Pattern, PIN or Password.

    Otherwise, tap SKIP.

    Note: You will be required to enter your Screen lock Pattern, PIN or Password prior to starting a factory reset of the device.

  9. If prompted, tap SKIP ANYWAY.

  10. Scroll to and tap to check or uncheck the preferred Google services, then tap NEXT.

  11. Read the Welcome message and tap GOT IT.

    Note: If prompted, tap DONE.

  12. The device will download and install the Boost Mobile ID Pack. When prompted, tap OK.

    Note: The device may download a software update as well. If prompted, tap OK.

  13. The device is now set up and ready for use.

    Note: If a Smart Contacts prompt appears, swipe through the introduction screens, then tap the preferred option and follow the prompts.
