Conserve Battery Life
  1. If the device is experiencing a short battery life, disabling some features and modifying settings may help.

    Reducing backlight brightness and backlight timeout can improve battery life.

    From the home screen, use two fingers to tap and drag down the Status bar.

  2. Tap the Settings icon.

  3. Tap Display.

  4. Tap Brightness level.

  5. Tap and drag the slider to the lowest comfortable brightness level.

    Tap the Back key when done.

  6. Tap to turn Adaptive brightness On or Off.

  7. Tap Sleep.

  8. Tap the shortest comfortable timeout setting.

    Once finished, tap the Home key.

  9. Using a live wallpaper can drain the battery faster.

    Tap and hold an empty space on the home screen.

  10. Tap Wallpapers.

  11. Tap the preferred Wallpaper.

    Note: Do not tap LIVE WALLPAPER.

  12. Tap the home screen.

  13. Leaving Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on while not in use can drain the battery faster.

    From the home screen, use two fingers to tap and drag down the Status bar.

  14. Tap the Settings icon.

  15. Tap the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Mobile Hotspot sliders to Off if they are not actively in use.

  16. Leaving GPS on when not in use can drain the battery faster.

    To disable GPS, from the Settings menu, scroll to and tap Location.

  17. Tap Mode.

    Note: Tap the Location switch to Off to fully disable GPS.

  18. Tap Battery saving.

  19. Tap the Back key twice to return to Settings.

  20. Stopping unused running services and applications can help conserve battery life.

    From the Settings menu, scroll to and tap Apps.

    Note: Stopping unused services is an advanced battery conservation step. There may be undesirable side effects from stopping certain services.

  21. Swipe to the RUNNING tab.

  22. Tap the preferred service or application.

  23. Tap STOP, and then confirm the prompt by tapping OK.

    Tap the Back key when finished.

    Note: If the option to stop is not present, the service can not be stopped.

  24. Turning off vibrate notifications can improve battery life.

    From the Settings menu, tap Sound & notifications.

  25. Tap Other sounds.

  26. Tap the Vibrate on touch switch to off if it is currently on.

    Tap the Back key twice.

  27. Setting the device to download or sync less information or less often can improve battery life.

    From the Settings screen, scroll to and tap Accounts.

  28. Tap an account type.

  29. Tap a specific account.

  30. Tap to disable any unnecessary Sync options.

    Repeat as needed for any other accounts on the device.

    Tap the Back key three times when finished.

  31. The device has a built-in Battery saver that switches the phone into a low-power mode when the battery gets low.

    To enable Battery saver, in settings scroll to and tap Battery.

  32. Tap the Menu icon.

  33. Tap Battery saver.

  34. To enable Battery saver manually, tap the Battery saver switch to On.

    To set Battery saver to enable at a specific battery level, tap Turn on automatically.

  35. Tap the preferred battery percentage then tap the Home key.

  36. Charging the device on a regular basis will maximize the battery life.

    The Charger/Connector port is located on the lower left side of the device.

    Plug the charger into the power socket and then connect it to the device.

  37. The device is now configured to conserve battery life.
